Seattle Farmers’ Market

June 5th, 2008 by Annie N

cimg1012.JPGI’ll give it to the West Coast: they’ve got the farmers’ market thing down pat. Bright piles of produce, lots of cute young things selling the food, and a plastic iguana make buying food a good time. I was happy enough to find out tomatoes are in season (soon, New York City, soon!) so that I can nibble a few before I go home. A trip later in the day to the Seattle Aquarium taught me that I’m not alone in my enthusiasm. Who looks happier: me and my tomatoes, or this golden fish attacking a leaf of swiss chard?cimg0996.JPGcimg1035.JPG

My vote is for the fish, what’s more fun trying to eat something bigger than you? You actually don’t look very happy at the tomatoes… more like a “I wish I had tomatoes at home” kind of look. ;)
