Pam of Ronnybrook

December 1st, 2007 by Annie N

Pam of RonnybrookPam is the best part about buying milk and butter in New York. If you time it right, and her sister has visited her already, she might have freshly made coffee cake on hand. If not, just enjoy the fact that she’s got a great smile and is secretly super sassy. I had the honor of working with Pam twice this year, and after three years of being completely in love with Ronnybrook products, it was like actually meeting St. Peter after always wanting to go to Heaven. Only better, I bet, because in heaven they probably eat boring stuff like ambrosia, and I really just wanted ginger ice cream and mixed berry yogurt drinks. Which, hurrah, Ronnybrook carries.

Pam of ronnybrookYou can find Pam at Tompkin’s Square (Ave A and 10th) on Sundays, the Upper West Side (97th and Amsterdam) on Fridays, and at the UN market on Wednesdays. Ronnybrook also sells at Union Square on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Get there early; they sell out fast!

About Growing Chefs

Vegetarian and local and organic, oh my! Growing Chefs was founded in 2005 as a way to teach kids (and their parents!) about the delicious, wonderful ways in which food gets from the soil to the kitchen. Annie's love of plants is translated here into recipes using local ingredients and ideas from wherever she travels. Annie's philosophy is simple: "Broccoli is not boring!" Annie can be emailed at annie@growingchefs.org.
